FAQ

1. What products do you offer?

We offer a full range of mushroom-growing supplies, including sterilised grain, substrate, grow bags, filters, humidity systems, and live mycelium for culinary and legally permitted species. All products are designed for home growers, small farms, and educational use.

2. Is live mycelium legal to purchase in Europe?

Yes. The live mycelium we sell includes only legal, non-psychoactive mushroom species, such as gourmet and medicinal varieties. Regulations may vary by country, so we recommend checking local laws if you are unsure.

3. Do you ship across Europe and the UK?

Yes. We ship to most EU and EEA countries as well as the United Kingdom. Some regions have restrictions on live cultures or agricultural materials, so availability may vary by destination.

4. How should I store live mycelium after receiving it?

Live mycelium should be kept refrigerated (typically 2–6°C) to maintain freshness and viability, except for pink oyster mycelium, which should be stored at room temperature because it is sensitive to cold.

5. How long does mycelium last?

Under proper refrigeration, most mycelium strains remain viable for 4–8 weeks. Once introduced to sterilised grain or substrate, growth usually begins within several days.

6. Do I need special equipment to grow mushrooms at home?

Not necessarily. While professional equipment can improve yields, beginners can grow legally permitted mushrooms using:

  • a clean workspace

  • substrate or grow kits

  • filters or breathable bags

  • a humidity-controlled environment (humidity tent or small greenhouse)

7. Which species are recommended for beginners?

Easy, beginner-friendly species include:

  • Oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus, P. pulmonarius)

  • Lion’s mane (Hericium erinaceus)

  • King oyster (Pleurotus eryngii)

  • Shiitake (Lentinula edodes)

8. How long does it take to grow mushrooms?

Growth times vary by species, but most gourmet mushrooms take:

  • 2–3 weeks for colonisation

  • 5–10 days for fruiting after proper environmental conditions are established

9. Are your products suitable for commercial growers?

Absolutely. We supply equipment and live mycelium for hobbyists, small farms, and commercial operations. Bulk orders and recurring supplies can be arranged.

10. Can I return or exchange live mycelium?

Because live cultures are perishable, we cannot accept returns once shipped. However, if your order arrives damaged or compromised, contact our support team and we will assist you promptly.

11. How environmentally friendly is your packaging?

We prioritise sustainable packaging wherever possible, using recyclable materials and reducing plastic use.
